Google is definitely cooking up the Android KitKat 4.4.3 update, but as of yet the company has refused to drop any official release date for the update.

According to reports, the third update will feature mostly bug fixes such as internet connection problems, VPN connectivity issues, camera focus, random reboots, missed call LED problems and a few other glitches.  While tech gurus are presuming that it will not arrive with any new major features, Android users will be happy to have some of the most common tech issues since the release of KitKat 4.4 in November 2013 fixed.

Rumors of the update’s release date suggest that the Android KitKat 4.4.3 will be released in time for the unveiling of the HTC One M7 and HTC One M8 towards the end of the year.

However, models such as HTC X, One X+, One S, One SV, One V, and Butterfly apparently won’t be included in the 4.4.3 update.

The Google Nexus series will be the first in line to receive the upgrades, specifically the Nexus 8 will be at the front of the queue, with the device scheduled to come out at Google’s I/O conference in July.

Google also included updates for its Edu Device Setup application on the Google Play Store, which basically features support for spreadsheets, support for Android 4.4.3 and non-Nexus tablets, as well as UI updates and bug fixes.

Sources also believe that the Sony Xperia Z Ultra will be having the 4.4.3 update.

According to Android Police, the last press statement on the development of Android KitKat 4.4.3 was on April 19.  It is expected that the final date is a few weeks out only.

Users are looking forward for Google’s next big thing – the Android 4.5, which is rumored to be released as the man competitor to the iOS 8 and will boast a cleaner and flatter design.
