Google Drive On Ubuntu

Google Drive don’t have an official app for Ubuntu Linux, but I can help you to install one on Ubuntu with a few clicks.

Tools:

  • Ubuntu 12 or 13 versions.
  • A terminal.

Steps:

  • Open Konsole and run it as root.
  • Copy and paste the following command line.
  • Type: sudo apt-add-repository ppa:thefanclub/grive-tools.
  • Type: sudo apt-get update to upgrade packages.
  • Type: sudo apt-get install -y grive-tools then press enter.
  • After install has finish go to Apps and run Google Drive setup.
  • Insert your admin password and allow Google to accept the app.
  • Copy the generated code and paste it in the app.
  • Here Google Drive is ready you can browse it over web or from home.
